润滑剂的施加方式

施加方法与油本身同样重要,因为油太多是清洁度和成本问题,油太少是拉毛问题。溢流施加——将油泵送到带料和模具上——提供最大覆盖和冷却,但会产生油雾、带出和清洗负担,通常仅用于重载拉深。辊涂器在带料进入模具前施加受控油膜,适用于端子和触点的连续模冲压,需要薄而均匀的层和近乎干燥的零件。喷雾或油雾系统(微量润滑方式)在高速冲压时向工作区计量极少量油,大幅减少消耗同时保持模具冷却——这是高速连续模生产线上的常见方案,因为油带出是主要成本。滴油和刷涂施加器用于简单的单次冲压作业。

干膜润滑剂完全绕过施加环节:带料预涂,或零件在工序间浸涂并干燥,留下能承受最高压力的蜡状膜。代价是薄膜必须在焊接、电镀或粘接前去除,这又将清洗成本摆上台面。无论选择哪种方法,带料上的油量都应成为工艺规范的一部分,因为看不到问题的操作员倾向于加油直到看到问题——而多余的油后来会在清洗或电镀工序中表现为废品。在设置和运行期间检查的书面施加量是生产线上最便宜的质量控制。

材料化学性质决定了润滑剂需要多努力地工作。铝容易拉毛——在压力下瞬间焊合到工具钢上——因此需要强韧的油膜,通常是专用的铝成型油或干膜。不锈钢加工硬化且摩擦系数高,需要极压润滑剂。铜和黄铜相对容易加工但会变色,因此防腐蚀剂很重要。镀锌钢的锌颗粒会磨损模具,润滑剂的部分作用是将这些颗粒从模具边缘冲走。
