复合模造价最低,最适合简单的平面零件;级进模在中小型零件的中高产量领域占主导地位,因为一次冲压行程即可完成零件;而传递模则适用于大型、厚壁或需要深拉延而无法用卷料连续送进的零件。没有普遍最优的模具——正确的选择首先取决于零件几何形状,其次才是年产量,不同类型之间的模具成本差异可能高达五倍或更多。

采购冲压件实际上是在购买一副将在未来几年内生产您零件的模具。选错模具类型,要么为用不上的功能买单,要么将零件几何形状锁定在无法保持其公差的模具中。本指南对比了三种主流模具类型——复合模、级进模和传递模,并说明了各自适用的产量范围、零件尺寸和成本结构。

复合模:一次冲程,一道工序,平面零件

复合模在单次冲程中执行多项冲裁操作,但都在一个工位完成:零件同时完成落料和冲孔,冲压完成的平面零件直接落下。由于工序之间没有料带移动,复合模在三种模具类型中能保持最佳的位置精度——相对于零件外形的孔位模式保持高度一致。

复合模仅能生产平面零件。任何需要折弯、卷边或拉延的零件都需要在其他地方增加额外的模具工位或使用不同的模具类型。模具成本是三种类型中最低的,通常为几千到几万美元,且设置简单。缺点在于产出:一次冲程生产一个零件,加上模具开合循环和料带步进,实际生产速度通常在每分钟30至80次冲程之间。

实际要点:如果您的零件是平面的且年产量低于约10万件,复合模通常是您能购买的最经济的模具。它是精密垫圈、垫片和隔套类组件的标准工艺路线,这些组件对平面度和孔位的要求比对速度的要求更高。

级进模:以冲压速度生产小型零件

级进模将工作分散在沿料带的多个工位上:每次冲程料带前进一个步距,每个工位同时加工不同的零件。结果是每次冲程产出一个成品零件,速度可达每分钟数百次冲程,这就是为什么级进模在连接器端子、触点和小型支架领域占主导地位。

传递模:当零件必须离开料带时

传递模采用不同的方法:零件首先从料带上落料,然后通过机械手指或夹爪在独立的成形和拉延工位之间逐一传递。由于工件不再连接在料带材料上,传递模可以处理级进模无法处理的零件——深拉延壳体、大型外壳、厚壁支架,以及最终形状会在工位之间撕裂料带材料的零件。

代价是速度和模具成本。传递压力机运行速度较慢,通常为每分钟15至60次冲程,而且模具是三种类型中最昂贵的,因为每个工位实际上就是一套独立的模具。它们通过处理那些根本无法用级进模制造的零件来体现其价值:例如需要拉延至自身深度数倍的汽车风格支架,或需要从两侧向内成形的零件。
