决策通常归结为三个问题:应力多大、循环多少次、温度多高。

小空间内的高应力

油淬火回火钢丝允许静态或不频繁循环使用的扭转应力在抗拉强度的 40–50% 范围内。琴钢丝(ASTM A228)在非常小的直径下可以稍高,但仅限于约 0.1–3 mm,并且在较大尺寸下变得昂贵且难以采购。302 或 304 等不锈钢牌号的允许应力较低,每公斤成本更高。

如果您的设计需要 6 mm 线径承受 900 N 载荷,油淬火回火通常是唯一经济的选择。

中等疲劳寿命

对于循环次数达到数十万或低百万次的弹簧,只要将应力保持在疲劳安全范围内,油淬火回火钢丝表现良好。根据经验,循环扭转应力设计为抗拉强度的 30–35%,并保持应力比(最小应力除以最大应力)高于约 0.2。喷丸可以显著提高疲劳极限——在典型工业弹簧中通常提高 15–25%——并且是油淬火回火零件的标准附加工艺。

温度

重载弹簧很少因单次过载而失效。它们因疲劳、松弛或屈曲而失效——所有这些都是设计问题,而非材料问题。

保持旋绕比在可行范围内

弹簧指数(平均直径除以线径)通常应在 4 到 12 之间。低于 4,弹簧难以卷绕,且线圈内侧的应力集中急剧上升。高于 12,弹簧变得易缠绕,容易屈曲,且尺寸难以控制。
