热卷弹簧与冷卷弹簧:制造极限与材料选择

热卷与冷卷弹簧的分界线在于线径:冷卷工艺在标准机器上可处理直径约12–16毫米以下的线材,而更粗的线材或棒料——约10–16毫米以上——必须在缠绕前加热至850–1000°C,以便弯曲而不开裂。热卷弹簧随后像真正的钢制部件一样进行淬火和回火;冷卷弹簧则由预回火线材制成,仅需去应力处理。材料选择和公差预期与机器本身一样存在显著差异。

冷卷在10毫米以下占主导地位,因为线材便宜、工艺快速,且公差适合精密机构:电池触点、触觉弹簧、气门弹簧、门锁弹簧。实际极限在于机器功率——在室温下成型16毫米琴钢丝需要重型卷簧机,超过此范围,弹簧刚度和所需力使冷成型不经济或不可能。

热卷弹簧:粗线材,真正的热处理

热卷的存在是因为粗线材无法冷弯。直径约超过10–16毫米时,材料需加热至850–1000°C,使其具有足够的塑性以围绕芯轴缠绕,然后弹簧经过淬火和回火以发展其机械性能。这是真正的钢材热处理,而非去应力处理:最终强度来自弹簧制造商的炉子,而非线材厂。因此,材料选择具有淬透性的合金钢——铬硅、铬钒、硅锰等级——因为普通碳钢线材在厚截面中无法均匀硬化。
