散热器表面积:每个设计背后的数字

每个散热器本质上都是一台表面积机器。金属从热源传导热量,表面将热量传递给空气,而表面积是设计中最大的单一杠杆。但“更多表面”有一个陷阱:只有当空气能够到达表面,并且附着其上的翅片仍在导热时,表面才有效。这就是为什么下面的计算总是将原始面积与翅片效率配对,以及为什么两个表面积相同的散热器性能可能完全不同。

从面积到翅片:填充表面

基板面积和扩散陷阱

翅片解决对流,但热量必须首先在基板上扩散才能到达它们。宽基板下的集中热源会产生扩散惩罚:靠近芯片的基板区域很热,而外部翅片运行较冷,将平均 η 拉低到远低于单个翅片的数值。工程检查很简单:如果您的热源占基板占位面积不到约 10–20%,扩散热阻可能大于翅片热阻,增加翅片是错误的修复方法。选项是更厚的基板、铜基板或嵌入热管,或在热量到达翅片之前进行扩散的均热板
