散热器翅片设计:真正有效的间距、高度与方向

翅片间距、高度和方向决定散热器是真正发挥作用,还是仅仅看起来像散热器。对于自然对流,垂直翅片间距约为7-11毫米(6-10毫米开口间隙),高度为25-50毫米;对于强制风冷,可将间隙缩小至2-4毫米,并在相同占地面积内承载约两倍的翅片面积。先确定间距,再确定高度,最后确定方向——大多数糟糕的散热器设计仅因间距问题就失败了。

空气是工作流体,翅片几何形状的存在只有一个原因:让尽可能多的金属表面与流动的空气接触。一旦气流无法到达翅片,该翅片就成了增加重量和成本但不提供冷却的“死重”。本指南为您提供了适用于挤压和机加工铝散热器的实际有效数值,以及如果忽略这些数值将面临的制造限制。

自然对流翅片间距:宽间距优于密间距

在自由空气中,每个翅片表面形成的边界层会随着向上移动而增厚。如果间隙过窄,相邻翅片的边界层会相遇,气流受阻,内部翅片区域将变得停滞。如果间隙过宽,则会浪费可用于容纳另一个翅片的空间。

强制风冷:密集翅片,但需注意压降

添加风扇后,规则就反转了。移动的空气抑制了边界层的增长,因此间隙可以缩小到2-4毫米,翅片数量可以增加。代价是压降:每增加一个翅片,每增加一毫米长度,都会增加流动阻力,而一个弱小的轴流风扇在面对密集阵列时会失速,尽管其数据表声称它能输送空气。

翅片厚度与纵横比:挤压物理特性

翅片不可能从模具中无限薄、无限高地挤出。挤压铝型材有实际限制:6063-T5的最小翅片厚度约为1-1.3毫米,经济的高度与间隙纵横比接近6-8比1。超过此限制,模具会变得脆弱,型材挤压速度变慢,成本会不成比例地增加。

如果您的设计要求薄而高的翅片,制造路线就需要改变。铲削和焊接翅片散热器可以达到更高的密度,而CNC加工可以切割更厚的翅片、底部切槽或阶梯高度,这些是任何模具都无法生产的。每种工艺都有其自身的几何形状限制,因此在最终确定翅片横截面之前,值得阅读散热器类型指南

方向:垂直在自由空气中胜出

自然对流依赖于“烟囱效应”。翅片应垂直放置,通道在顶部和底部开口,以便热空气上升并带动冷空气进入。如果将同一个散热器旋转使翅片水平放置,自由对流性能将下降约20-30%,因为浮力空气无法建立清晰的垂直通道。

强制风冷的方向更宽容,但仍然具有方向性:让气流沿着翅片通道流动,而不是横穿它们。一个强制所有风扇空气通过通道的导流罩比一个无罩风扇从侧面吹向翅片块要好10-25%。

来自车间现场的两条实用规则:切勿将被动散热器的热面紧贴外壳壁,并在垂直阵列的下方和上方至少留出一个完整的翅片间距的间隙,以便空气进出。客户经常因为将优质散热器平放在密封盖下而损失一半的冷却能力。

发送给工厂的检查清单

翅片几何形状的好坏取决于定义它的图纸。当您请求散热器报价时,请包括:耗散功率和最大允许外壳温度、环境温度范围以及散热器是否带有导流罩、强制风冷时的气流或风扇型号、外形尺寸、翅片间距/高度/厚度、安装孔模式和底座平面度要求,以及合金——如果散热性能优先选择6063-T5,如果底座承受结构载荷则选择6061-T6。缺失气流假设是导致报价散热器无法冷却的首要原因:工厂确定型材尺寸,但只有您知道翅片处的实际空气速度。将功率、温度和气流量一起提供,几何形状几乎可以自行设计。
