只有当模具成本可以分摊时,冲压才是制造金属零件最便宜的方式。我们给客户的经验法则:如果零件小(约100×100毫米以下)、平面或轻度成形,并且每年需要超过约10,000-50,000件,级进模在单位成本上几乎总是优于CNC加工。低于该产量,模具是糟糕的投资,CNC或激光切割是诚实的建议。

批量生产改变的是单位经济性。级进模每次冲压行程生产一个零件——高速冲床对薄带材每分钟200到800次行程——没有单件设置,没有操作员测量每个特征,通过仔细的带材排样控制废料。排样良好的端子件材料利用率可达50-70%;排样不良的坯件可能浪费一半卷料。当我们报价冲压件时,实际上是在报三个数字:材料利用率、每分钟行程数和维护间的模具寿命。这三个数字比冲压操作员的任何操作更能决定你的单件价格。
