支架和外壳:钢还是铝?

对于结构件——驱动器支架、齿轮托盘、安装板——材料问题主要涉及刚度、重量、腐蚀和每件成本。镀锌钢(SGCC/SECC)是承载室内零件的默认选择:便宜、刚性好,锌涂层能应对普通湿度。铝5052或6061在重量重要、支架兼作散热器或零件可见且经过阳极氧化处理以美观时更受青睐。裸钢在潮湿的户外灯具中会生锈,因此外部支架通常采用粉末涂层钢、电镀钢或铝。

铝冲压鳍片和散热器附件

对于中功率LED产品,冲压铝鳍片提供了一种廉价的增加冷却表面的方法。一个冲压鳍片组——由0.4–1.2 mm铝冲压成的单个鳍片,堆叠并粘合或机械锁定到基座——在相同占地面积下可以优于普通的挤压型材,且模具成本更低,重量更轻。权衡是真实的:冲压鳍片很薄,因此如果太高,鳍片效率会下降(超过大约10–20倍鳍片厚度后,额外高度不再增加有用的冷却),并且鳍片和基座之间的热接合成为瓶颈。冲压铝或折叠设计需要良好的鳍片与基座接触——通过环氧粘合、焊接或机械互锁——否则接合热阻会抵消额外的表面积。
