为什么灭菌驱动弹簧材料选择

灭菌不是一个温和的过程。根据方法的不同,弹簧可能会经历121–134°C的饱和蒸汽反复循环、25–50 kGy的伽马辐射剂量、37–63°C的环氧乙烷及残留解析、过氧化氢蒸汽,或高于140°C的干热。每一种对弹簧的侵蚀方式都不同。

主要的失效模式是:

  • 腐蚀和点蚀,来自反复蒸汽暴露,尤其是在具有残余拉应力的302和304合金中。
  • 应力松弛——负载损失——当弹簧在高温下承受负载时。这是可重复使用器械中的隐形杀手:弹簧看起来完好,但在200次高压灭菌循环后提供的力减少了20%。

两个让团队措手不及的实际要点。首先,生物相容性是在成品、灭菌后的器械表面上评估的,而不是在原始丝材上。拉丝润滑剂、钝化残留物和电抛光化学物质都成为测试样品的一部分。其次,颗粒物产生很重要:弹簧与孔摩擦会脱落金属颗粒,这是一个独立的、通常比细胞毒性结果更困难的发现。

选择合金:实用候选清单

302和304不锈钢

非植入、非血液接触弹簧的默认选择。302具有更高的抗拉强度,是压缩和拉伸弹簧的标准。304更耐腐蚀但强度较低。两者都便宜、广泛可用且易于卷绕。对于负载下的反复蒸汽循环和任何富氯环境,它们是一个糟糕的选择。

316和316L不锈钢

17-7PH和17-4PH

材料选择让你完成了大部分工作,但几何形状决定了弹簧是否真的可以清洁,以及它是否在其使用寿命内保持负载。

  • 避免流体路径中的闭圈接触。紧密闭合的线圈会截留污垢和灭菌残留物。在需要清洁的地方指定小间隙或开圈设计。
  • 针对应力松弛设计,而不仅仅是静态应力。如果弹簧在高压灭菌温度下保持压缩,请将工作应力保持在合金推荐最大值以下——根据经验,在反复蒸汽服务中,302的应力应低于约40%的抗拉强度,而17-7PH或钛可以更高。
