冷板材料:铜与铝的对比

简短回答:当您需要在最小占位面积内实现最大热量扩散时,选择铜——其导热系数约为385–400 W/m·K,而常见的6061/6063铝约为200–205 W/m·K,因此铜冷板每单位横截面的传热速率几乎是铝的两倍。当重量、成本和可制造性占主导时,选择铝:铝的密度约为铜的三分之一,每个成品零件通常便宜30–50%,这就是为什么大多数电动汽车电池托盘、逆变器冷板和服务器冷板都采用铝。铜在性能密度上胜出;铝在每瓦散热成本上胜出。许多设计两者兼用——铜基板,铝主体。

为什么冷板材料如此重要?

液冷冷板是一种热交换器,其唯一任务是将热量从发热组件中导出并传递给流动的冷却液。材料同时承担三项功能——将热量从安装表面传导至内部通道壁,通过自身质量传递热量,并且必须承受多年与冷却液化学物质的接触。

导热系数决定了热量传递速度的上限。纯C11000(ETP)铜的导热系数约为385–400 W/m·K。6061-T6铝约为167 W/m·K,6063-T5根据回火和合金不同约为200 W/m·K。这一差距是真实的,但并非全部:在设计良好的冷板中,主要热阻通常是器件与冷板之间的热界面材料(TIM),以及冷却液边界层处的对流热阻。材料选择改变了传导项;它无法解决不良的TIM或流量不足的流道。

这就是为什么对“铜还是铝”的诚实回答是:这取决于哪个热阻是您的瓶颈,以及您能承受多少重量和成本。

重量是潜在问题。相同几何形状的铜冷板重量约为铝冷板的3.3倍。在服务器机架中这是搬运问题;在车辆或飞机中这是续航和有效载荷问题。工程师经常接受20–30%的热性能损失以节省60%的质量。

铜在哪些方面真正胜出?

铜在三种情况下占有一席之地。

1. 小面积内的极高热流密度

如果您要冷却一个15 × 15 mm的IGBT芯片,其功耗为300 W,热流密度巨大。将其扩散到大铝基板中会产生温度梯度。铜基板——或嵌入铝主体的铜嵌件——在热量到达冷却液通道之前扩散热流。这是高功率电子设备中经典的“铜基板、铝翅片”架构。

2. 空间受限的外壳

当冷板还必须作为结构安装板且没有空间加厚时,铜的更高导热性允许您使用更薄的基板达到相同的ΔT。更薄的基板意味着更短的热路径和更少的附加质量。

3. 可焊接、可钎焊的组件

铜易于软钎焊和钎焊。如果您的冷板必须真空钎焊到铜管回路,或软钎焊到铜散热器,全铜结构避免了双金属接头及其间的电偶。

铝在哪些方面胜出?

铝胜出的频率远高于导热系数表所暗示的。

成本和可制造性

铝作为原材料更便宜,加工和挤压成本也低得多。在铝中,铲齿翅片和挤压型材在铜中昂贵的翅片厚度下是实用的。对于带有加工通道和螺栓盖板的冷板,6061铝加工更快,刀具磨损更少,并可阳极氧化以提供腐蚀保护。

重量

密度约为三分之一,铝是任何移动设备的默认选择——电动汽车电池冷板、牵引逆变器冷板、轨道交通牵引、无人机有效载荷。

与铝组件配对时的腐蚀

如果回路其余部分为铝(散热器、接头、泵壳),全铝冷板保持回路电偶均匀。在铝回路中引入铜会产生电偶,铝成为牺牲阳极。这是真实的失效模式,而非理论。

在一个冷板中混合铜和铝怎么样?

混合金属冷板很常见且合理——铜散热器粘合到铝主体,或铜管压入铝板。工程问题在于接头和电偶。

  • 接头必须承受热循环。铜-铝软钎焊或钎焊接头可行但对工艺敏感。使用热界面材料的机械压配合更宽容。
  • 电偶必须管理。在任何铜和铝共享湿路径的地方,您需要冷却液中的腐蚀抑制剂包、镍或阳极氧化阻挡涂层,或接头处的非导电屏障。

应该指定哪种铝合金?

如果选择铝,合金选择会改变性能和可制造性。

制造路线如何因材料而异?

可使用的工艺部分由材料决定。

  • CNC加工实心C11000板——原型和小批量到中批量的标准路线。通道、翅片和安装孔一次装夹完成。
  • 铲齿——铜铲齿散热器存在但不如铝常见,因为铜铲齿更粘。
  • 钎焊 / 软钎焊——铜管板式和折叠翅片组件。
  • 增材制造——铜打印可行但仍小众且昂贵。

  • 挤压——长而恒定截面冷板的最便宜路线。切割至长度,加工端部,焊接或环氧树脂盖板。
  • 铲齿——非常细的翅片,每翅片成本低。
  • 压铸——大批量,复杂几何形状,导热性低于锻造。
  • CNC加工——原型、小批量、严格公差,以及挤压无法生产的任何几何形状。
  • 搅拌摩擦焊——用于密封铝冷板盖板,无需填充金属。

对于任一材料的机加工冷板,最重要的公差是器件安装表面的平面度和平行度——通常是图纸上最严格的标注。BQUQ在CNC加工中达到±0.005 mm,远在大多数冷板安装表面要求之内。

涂层和表面处理怎么样?

  • :裸铜会氧化;镀镍是耐腐蚀性和可焊性的通常答案。也使用铬酸盐转化处理。

应该如何决定?

1. 计算器件占位面积处的热流密度。 高于约100 W/cm²时,从铜或铜嵌件开始。

2. 检查重量预算。 如果组件移动,铝通常是必需的。

3. 检查回路化学物质。 如果回路其余部分为铝,保持铝,除非您能控制冷却液化学物质。

4. 计算成品零件成本,而非原材料成本。 加工和精加工通常主导总成本。

5. 如果热余量允许,先用更便宜的材料制作原型,并用实际流量和实际TIM进行验证。

一个有用的经验法则:如果铝冷板在10–15 °C的余量下满足您的结温目标,不要为铜付费。如果不能满足,铜——或铝主体中的铜嵌件——是缩小差距的最便宜方法。

问:对于冷板,铜总是比铝好吗?
