SMI不定义材料牌号,而是在其设计手册中引用ASTM或SAE标准。对于在中国生产的情况,BQUQ通常建议:面向亚洲汽车或电子组装件的公制弹簧采用JIS标准,出口北美的产品采用ASTM标准。实际差异体现在抗拉强度上:ASTM A228在1.0毫米直径时的最小抗拉强度为2100 MPa,而JIS G3522 SWP-B在相同直径下规定为2050 MPa。这2.4%的差距会影响在80°C以上高温下的应力松弛性能。

尺寸公差和弹簧旋绕比

弹簧制造商协会(SMI)出版的《弹簧设计手册》提供了最广泛接受的螺旋弹簧公差表。对于外径10.0毫米、线径2.0毫米的压缩弹簧,SMI建议外径总公差为±0.25毫米。ASTM没有专门的弹簧尺寸公差标准,但在ASTM A1000(钢丝弹簧组件)中引用了SMI表格。JIS B2704规定了更严格的公差:对于相同的10.0毫米直径,公差为±0.15毫米,比SMI严格40%。

弹簧旋绕比(D/d)也影响公差可行性。旋绕比低于4会造成制造困难,因为钢丝弯曲过急,增加了残余应力。JIS B2704建议旋绕比在4到16之间,而SMI允许静态应用达到20。对于线径1.0毫米、中径8.0毫米(旋绕比8)的弹簧,两个标准都允许10圈或以下时自由长度公差为±1.5%。超过10圈时,JIS公差放宽至±2.0%,SMI为±2.5%。

载荷公差在规定的挠度点处指定。SMI规定,在室温下旋绕比4至8范围内,载荷公差为±10%。JIS B2704在相同旋绕比范围内,若弹簧经过喷丸处理,则收紧至±7%。BQUQ 2023-2024年的生产数据显示,与SMI公差相比,达到JIS载荷公差会使单位成本增加15-20%,主要原因是需要额外的100%载荷测试和分选。

表面质量和缺陷限值

表面缺陷直接影响疲劳寿命。ASTM A1000要求表面裂纹、重皮或折叠的深度不得超过线径的3%。JIS G3522对琴钢丝规定了更严格的限值,为线径的2%。SMI建议对关键弹簧按照ASTM E1444进行磁粉检测目视检查,任何长度超过0.5毫米的线性显示均为拒收。

脱碳是热处理弹簧的关键缺陷。对于直径达6.0毫米的钢丝,ASTM A313将脱碳层限制在每侧0.075毫米。JIS G3561对于直径大于4.0毫米的油淬火回火钢丝,总脱碳深度限值为0.1毫米。实践中,BQUQ对首件和每生产500件中的1件进行金相截面测试。对于工作温度超过150°C的弹簧,脱碳会使疲劳强度降低30-40%,因此对于汽车发动机气门弹簧,JIS限值更为优选。

测试和检验规程

ASTM和JIS在验收测试方面存在显著差异。ASTM A228要求在卷绕前对钢丝进行拉伸和扭转试验,但除非采购订单中另有规定,否则不强制要求对成品弹簧进行载荷测试。JIS B2704要求对用于汽车安全应用的每个弹簧在100%规定挠度下进行载荷测试,对于一般工业弹簧则采用5%的抽样率。SMI建议基于AQL(可接受质量水平)的抽样计划:关键尺寸为1.0,非关键尺寸为2.5。

应力松弛测试是另一个差异点。ASTM未规定标准的应力松弛测试方法,但SMI建议在高于最高工作温度20%的条件下进行48小时测试,允许最大载荷损失10%。JIS H2011规定在最高工作温度下进行24小时测试,载荷损失限值为5%。对于额定温度为100°C的压缩弹簧,JIS规程更严格且更具成本效益,因为测试时间减半,同时要求更高的性能。

当工作温度超过120°C时,使用ASTM A313或JIS G3561油淬火回火钢丝,切勿使用琴钢丝。在采购订单中确认脱碳限值;许多供应商默认采用比JIS更宽松的ASTM限值。对于超过10^6次循环的动态应用,无论采用何种标准,都应指定喷丸处理,并要求按照ASTM E606或JIS Z2273进行疲劳测试。
