线径(d)是线材本身的粗细。请使用分辨率为0.001 mm的千分尺,而非卡尺,因为卡尺会压缩线材,导致硬拉钢丝的读数偏低0.02至0.05 mm。沿弹簧轴线在三个点测量,各点相隔120度,然后取平均值。对于拉伸弹簧,在钩子弯曲处测量线径,该处磨损最严重。

完成所有测量后,请遵循以下工程指南,以避免最常见的采购失败。首先,始终将线径指定到小数点后三位,外径指定到小数点后两位,自由长度指定到小数点后一位。不要向下取整;将1.995 mm的线材向下取整为1.99 mm会使刚度改变1%,这通常超出精密弹簧的公差范围。

如果您在没有千分尺或高度规的情况下测量弹簧,请使用以下现场技术。对于线径,将一张纸缠绕在线上,标记重叠处,用直尺测量纸的长度;除以圆周率得到直径,精度为正负0.05 mm。对于自由长度,将弹簧直立在平面上,旁边放一把直尺,将直边放在顶部读取长度;对于100 mm以下的弹簧,精度为正负1 mm。

对于总圈数,将弹簧放在一张白纸上,用铅笔描出螺旋线,数出每个波峰。这样可以避免端圈造成的混淆。如需在没有试验机的情况下测量弹簧刚度,从弹簧上悬挂一个已知重量(例如1 kg质量),以毫米为单位测量变形量;刚度(N/mm)等于重量(1 kg为9.81 N)除以变形量。此方法精度为正负10%,足以用于初步筛选,但不适用于最终更换。

如果弹簧端部是封闭并磨平的,请在磨削后而非磨削前测量自由长度。磨削每端会去除0.1至0.3 mm,从而改变自由长度。此外,测量端部的垂直度:将弹簧放在平面上,将直角尺靠在侧面,检查间隙是否超过1度。不垂直的弹簧在载荷下会弯曲并过早失效。
