定制弹簧的最佳材料取决于您的工作温度、腐蚀环境、疲劳寿命和预算。对于90%的一般工业应用而言,琴钢丝(SAE 1080)或铬硅钢(ASTM A401)在强度和成本之间提供了最佳平衡,而在高温或腐蚀性环境中,则必须使用302不锈钢或Inconel X-750。以下是根据我们在BQUQ 20年的制造数据得出的机械性能、价格指数和应用限制的直接对比。

定制弹簧的材料选择标准

工程师在指定弹簧合金之前,必须评估四个关键参数。首先是抗拉强度,它直接决定最大允许应力,从而决定弹簧的承载能力。其次是弹性模量,该值相对恒定(钢约为30 Msi),但会随合金成分略有变化。第三是工作温度范围,因为超过最高使用温度会导致应力松弛和永久变形。第四是疲劳抗力,以给定循环次数下的疲劳极限来量化。

对于低于100,000次循环且低于100°C的通用压缩弹簧,请使用琴钢丝。它最便宜且强度最高。对于任何超过100°C或超过100,000次循环的应用,请改用铬硅钢。它的成本高出80%,但疲劳寿命是其10倍。对于暴露在湿气、盐雾或化学品中的弹簧,请使用302不锈钢。如果工作温度超过260°C,则别无选择,只能使用Inconel X-750,尽管其成本高昂。

不要指定比所需更高抗拉强度的材料。例如,在室温弹簧中使用铬钒钢代替铬硅钢,不会带来任何性能优势,但会增加11%的材料成本。另外,请验证线径公差。比标称直径小0.02毫米的线材会使弹簧刚度降低4%。我们的质检部门使用激光测微计对每卷来料线材进行直径测量,对于精密弹簧,任何超过指定直径+/- 0.005毫米的线卷都会被拒收。

我应该使用预应力弹簧吗?预应力处理(也称为预压或强压处理)可将承载能力提高10-15%,但仅对琴钢丝和铬硅钢有效。不建议对302不锈钢使用,因为该材料加工硬化过快,会导致脆性。

我能实现的最小弹簧指数是多少?弹簧指数(中径除以线径)应在4到12之间,以确保可靠的CNC卷绕。低于4,线材在内径处会开裂。高于12,弹簧会发生横向屈曲。对于2毫米线径,中径应在8毫米至24毫米之间。我们可以生产指数为3.5的弹簧,但需要使用特殊芯轴,成本增加15%。

如何指定表面处理?对于大多数应用,喷砂后的哑光表面是可以接受的。对于高疲劳弹簧,请指定“磨平端部,无可见刀痕”和“根据SAE J442进行喷丸处理”。除非存在腐蚀问题,否则不要指定光亮电镀表面,因为电镀可能导致氢脆。如果必须电镀,请使用锌镍电镀,并在电镀后立即在200°C下烘烤4小时。
