自动车床和瑞士夹头上常见的30°锥角(半角15°)在纸面上看起来效率低,但这些机器连续进给棒料,需要在循环之间正向、快速地松开——当机器可以简单地拉得更紧时,夹紧力是廉价的。

槽:使其成为弹簧的部分

槽是让实心环成为夹紧装置的关键。切割一个环,当它被压入锥度时可以向内弯曲;保持实心,它根本无法夹紧。槽的数量、宽度和根部几何形状决定了三件事:夹紧力分布的均匀程度、夹头覆盖的直径范围以及它能承受多少次循环。

三槽夹头(相隔120°)是经典的折衷方案:段足够宽以保持刚性,槽足够窄以避免切屑堆积。六槽设计更均匀地分布力,并在不圆棒料上更圆地闭合,代价是段更窄,弯曲更少,槽边缘磨损更快。每个槽根都是应力集中点,这就是为什么优质夹头在槽根钻一个小卸荷孔——它分散弯曲应力,是夹头能用一个季度还是用几年的区别。

更大的弯曲范围不是免费的:夹头在其范围的极限处夹持比在接近其中性孔径处夹持更不牢固、更不准确。这就是为什么夹头指定的是棒料直径而不是范围。

拉回式与死长式:夹紧时移动什么

为什么夹紧力在使用中会漂移
