筒夹攻丝刀柄就是一个刚性刀柄——最常见的是ER筒夹夹头、TG筒夹夹头或带有方头驱动筒夹的专用攻丝筒夹夹头——以近乎零的轴向移动夹持丝锥柄。

丝锥由其柄直径(或在专用攻丝筒夹中由方头驱动)夹持,机床需以恰好螺距×转速进给。这就是刚性攻丝同步攻丝

优势是结构性的:

  • 跳动。好的ER筒夹夹头在丝锥柄处保持5–10 µm TIR。浮动刀柄通常跳动20–50 µm,因为存在额外的滑动界面。更低的跳动意味着更均匀的牙侧负载和更长的丝锥寿命——从磨损的浮动刀柄更换为新的筒夹夹头时,丝锥寿命通常提高20–40%。

  • 速度。刚性攻丝以全编程转速运行,无弹簧滞后,因此循环时间缩短。

代价是机床必须同步。在现代VMC或车削中心上,具有同步主轴编码器和刚性攻丝循环(G84、G74或等效),这是理所当然的。在没有主轴定向反馈的1990年代控制器上,则不然。

2. 在没有动力刀具同步的车床刀塔上攻丝。刀塔滑座进给和主轴转速可能未紧密耦合。浮动吸收不匹配。

3. 攻非常深的孔。轴向浮动可帮助丝锥从切屑堆积和轻微螺距误差中恢复,减少孔中折断的机会。

4. 攻入深度控制边缘的触底盲孔。压缩弹簧在丝锥触底前提供小的安全余量。

5. 在一台机床上运行混合丝锥尺寸,并希望使用带有通用刀柄本体的快换丝锥适配器。

对于运行旧设备的车间,浮动刀柄仍然是务实的选择。它们并未过时——它们是机床兼容性解决方案。

当以下情况时选择刚性筒夹夹持:
