机器人CNC零件:小批量精密加工

为什么机器人批量更适合CNC而非铸造或冲压

机器人硬件存在批量问题:没人知道能卖多少,设计也在不断变化。压铸需要模具,成本5,000–50,000美元,适用于每年10,000件以上。级进冲压对于平板零件在大约50,000件以上才划算,但机器人连杆不是平板——它在多个面上有凸台、凹槽和螺纹孔。CNC除了夹具外无需任何模具,常规保持±0.05 mm,加工一件或一千件质量相似。

经济交叉点远低于大多数人的假设。在100件时,机加工铝支架通常比同一支架铸造的摊销模具成本每件更便宜。在500件时,CNC仍然具有竞争力,除非几何形状只能铸造,例如需要内部拔模斜度的型腔。如果机器人零件后来达到五位数年产量,那时可以重新考虑压铸——而多工艺源头工厂可以诚实地报价双方。同时,在机器人本身仍在变化时,CNC保持你的BOM成本可预测。

机器人上哪些零件需要机加工

在任何机械臂或移动平台上走一圈,几乎每个结构件都是机加工的:关节壳体、连杆臂、腕部法兰、夹爪本体、相机安装座、轮毂、传感器支架。车削件也出现——电机轴、皮带轮垫片、螺纹嵌件——这就是为什么瑞士型和CNC车削通常与铣床放在同一车间。

机器人上并非每个表面都需要±0.01 mm。错误是在所有地方都要求严格公差,并为每个特征付费。重要的是零件相互配合的地方:轴承孔、定位销孔、电机导向直径,以及连杆和关节壳体之间的配合面。其他一切——装饰性凹槽、减重孔、外轮廓——可以按±0.1 mm运行,成本低得多。

材料:选择合适的铝(以及何时不用铝)

对于机器人连杆,标准讨论从6061-T6开始并结束:可加工、可焊接、阳极氧化好,且足够便宜以便迭代。当连杆受刚度或应力限制且无法增加截面时,升级到7075-T6。预计7075的材料成本约为6061的1.4–1.8倍,切屑稍脆——在生产中没问题,在薄壁中较难。钛合金只有在需要最大强度重量比的受力关节处且能容忍较慢加工时,才值得其15–25倍的价格。对于接触负载的耐磨件如夹爪钳口,硬化工具钢或钢嵌件通常优于特殊合金。

机器人零件的表面处理主要是功能性的。硬质阳极氧化(III型,25–50 µm)保护铝耐磨表面,并在夹爪手指上提供低摩擦面;普通黑色阳极氧化用于防腐蚀和外观;阳极氧化前喷砂可提供大多数机器人制造商在照片和演示中想要的均匀哑光表面。如果机器人在食品、医疗或户外工作,请提前告知工厂——这会在现场故障之前改变表面处理和材料选择。

为小批量加工设计机器人零件

机加工机器人零件在设计努力上每克成本比几乎任何其他事情都低。规则一:在图纸上放置基准特征——一个机加工基准孔和平面——以便工厂每批次以相同方式定向零件。规则二:尽可能保持壁厚大于1.5 mm;薄壁加工慢、振动,并容易在长连杆中变形。规则三:标准化孔尺寸和螺纹深度,以便一套刀具完成大部分工作。规则四:如果不确定最终累积误差,在与其他机加工零件配合的面上留0.5–1.0 mm余量;第二次加工很便宜,焊接延伸则不然。
