为什么汽车原型要从CNC开始?

三个原因,都是财务上的。第一,没有模具费用。一个级进冲压模具可能花费数千美元和数周的交期;加工的原型两者都没有。第二,设计更改成本低。当支架需要移动孔位或加厚凸台时,你发送修订图纸并加工一个新的,而不是报废模具。第三,加工零件是整体的,因此比焊接组件更坚固且不易泄漏,这对流体和结构件很重要。

何时应从CNC切换到冲压或铸造?

切换由产量和设计稳定性驱动,而不是固定规则。下表给出了小型汽车支架的指示性临界点。

决策规则很简单。年产量低于约1,000件时,机加工通常每套组件更便宜,因为模具成本分摊到太少零件上。年产量超过约5,000–10,000件时,模具成本分摊得足够薄,冲压或铸造胜出。在这两个数字之间,决定因素是设计风险和您需要零件的速度:如果设计仍在变动,即使单价看起来高,也坚持机加工,因为重新开模的成本将超过差价。

公差、PPAP和文档

为什么机加工原型在生产中会失败?

验证设计的原型通常带有对单件合适但对一万件昂贵的决策。及早注意这些可以在零件进入批量生产时节省真金白银:

  • 只有机加工才能制造的特征。带有尖锐内角的深腔,或太薄无法成型的壁,可能迫使以后切换到不同工艺。在原型阶段知道这一点可以让您在开模前重新设计。
  • 为方便而选择的公差。机加工几乎可以不管图纸保持±0.005 mm,因此即使公差是冲压模具或铸造无法重复的,原型也能“通过”。在生产中,这些标注成为瓶颈。
  • 无法扩展的表面处理。手工抛光的装饰表面在原型上容易,在生产线上缓慢。选择生产过程实际能实现的表面处理。
